Carol Boettcher, 74, Arlington

Carol (Kistner) Boettcher, 74, of Arlington, MN, passed away Saturday, April 20, 2024,  at Oak Terrace Senior Living of Le Sueur, MN. She was born March 30, 1950, in Gaylord, MN. One of 11 children, she was the daughter of Clarence and Adella Kistner. Carol and Lester Boettcher were married Aug. 5, 1967, a loving partnership that lasted 56 years. They had three children: Pamela, Paula, and William. Carol had many talents. She was artistic and very good with her hands. A true renaissance woman, she could do it all. You might find her in the kitchen canning fruit or baking. It was just as likely you might find her in the shop upcycling old furniture, or in her sewing room crafting unique and beautiful Christmas tree skirts. Above all, she created a beautiful and welcoming home for her family. Carol is survived by her husband, Lester Boettcher; her children, Pamela Boettcher, Paula (Daryl) Petzel, and William (Ivana) Boettcher; her grandchildren, Derek (Bunsaovira) Lek-Guerrero, Maranda Guerrero, Kayla (Neil) Joyer, Alexander Guerrero, Jesse Guerrero, Brianna (Gidget) Silva, and Alexander Grindle-Boettcher; stepgrandchildren, Kyle (Krista) Petzel, Curt Petzel, and Tim (Tamera) Petzel; great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Diane Meyer, Duane Kistner, Allen Kistner, Bonnie Paul, Roger Kistner, Patty Boeder, Donald Kistner, and Richard Kistner.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Adella Kistner; and her siblings, Robert Kistner and Sharon Quast. Friends and family are invited to a celebration of life ceremony Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Arlington Haus. A program will take place from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by socializing from 2 to 5 p.m. We would like to express appreciation to the staff at Oak Terrace and St. Croix Hospice for the personalized care and comfort they provided Carol.
