The Sibley County Commissioners, during their regular meeting on Tuesday morning, Sept. 12, unanimously approved a motion to accept a $138,688.11 bid plus tax and license from Boyer Trucks for a new Western Star Truck.
In addition, the County Commissioners accepted a bid of $181,530 from Tow Master for the equipment on the snow plow truck.
Boyer Trucks and Tow Master will be re-bidding the state contract price and new rates will be determined this fall and early next year.
The new snow plow truck will replace Unit 0602 which is a 2006 Sterling LT9550. It currently has over 300,000
