The Sibley East School Board, during its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday night, Nov. 19, reviewed a proposal from Larson Engineering to prepare construction documents and perform construction administration for the tennis courts rehabilitation in 2020.  The initial proposal shows two options for the tennis court rehab with costs ranging from $186,994.60 to $252,694.75.

Superintendent Jim Amsden reported that initially the City of Arlington paid for installation and the school agreed to pay for maintenance.  Amsden said he was hoping to share some of the initial construction process with the City of Arlington. He went on to read to the School Board members an email from Arlington City Administrator Pat Melvin explaining that although Arlington sees the benefit for tennis courts in the community the City Council voted 3-2 against partnering with Sibley East to rehab the tennis courts.
