The Sibley East varsity football team committed six turnovers and was blanked by visiting Tri-City United 14-0 on Friday night, Sept. 14.
The first quarter featured a little bit of everything. TCU fumbled the ball on its very first play of the game and the pigskin was recovered by Sibley East senior Lincoln Carpenter.
Sibley East, on the very next play, suffered an interception.
The Wolverines, on their next possession, executed a successful pass off a fake punt and eventually drove deep into TCU territory. The drive, however, stalled on downs on the TCU 16-yard-line.
