Families still thankful 50 years later

2019-12-05

Members of two Arlington families are still thankful 50 years later for the support they received after their parents were killed in an accident one-half mile east of Dawson at 5:40 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, 1969.

Mr. and Mrs. Louis Rauschendorfer, and Mr. and Mrs. John Carroll, all of Arlington, were killed in the accident. Dawson resident Maurice Kallhoff, 30, who was the driver of the truck, was also killed.

On The Way Home
The Arlington couples were on the way home from a  deer hunting trip to the Black Hills section of Wyoming. They were expected to arrive in Arlington on Monday night. They were traveling east on Highway 212 in a new camper pickup belonging to the Rauschendorfers.
