Arlen W. Hildebrandt, age 70, of rural Gaylord, passed away at the Ridgeview Medical Center in Waconia on Wednesday, Nov. 20.
Funeral services were held at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Gaylord at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26.
Visitation was held at the Kolden Funeral Home in Arlington from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25. It continued one hour prior to the service time at the church on Tuesday, Nov. 26.
Interment with military honors was at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Gaylord.
Arlen Willis Hildebrandt was born in Gaylord on January 8, 1949. He was the youngest of nine children to Otto and Laura (Schmidt) Hildebrandt. He worked the majority of his career as a machinist for Seneca Foods from 1976-2011. Arlen married Sandy Martin, Betty Grenier, then Gail Boese in 1991. He was a member of the Gaylord Game Protective League where he shot trap. He had an appreciation and love for guns, old cars, trucks and tractors.
Arlen is survived by his wife, Gail Hildebrandt; children, Keri Grant, Jason (Karri) Stiller, Travis Hildebrandt, Brandy (Jamie) Morrow, Tara (Brett) Lange, and Bill (Janet) Boese; grandchildren, Cody Manchester, Jacob Stiller, Zachary Stiller, Ryan (Kourtney) DeBlois, Tyler DeBlois, Brandon Hildebrandt, Cody Boese, Mitchell Boese, Lexi Morrow, and Gavin Morrow; great-grandchild, Lainey DeBlois; siblings, Donald (Geraldine) Hildebrandt, Maynard Hildebrant, Roger (Lynda) Hildebrandt, Marlene Kloeckl, Jerome (Eunice) Hildebrandt, Laurel (Bob) Bauer, and Darla (Larry) Abraham; and his beloved dog, Annie.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Laura Hildebrandt; brother, Charles Hildebrandt; and siblings-in-law, Marlis Hildebrandt, Paul Kloeckl, and Jean Hildebrandt.
