The Green Isle Irish baseball team has earned a berth in the Minnesota State Class C Amateur Baseball Tournament.

The Irish earned the berth after they split two games in the Region 7C Baseball Tournament at Cologne and Carver last weekend.

The Irish, 6-12 in league play and 13-16 overall, will play Sauk Centre in the opening round of the state tournament at Maple Lake at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18.
