The Sibley County Board, at its regular meeting on Tuesday morning, Aug. 27, chose not to vote on a request by County Administrator John Glisczinski for Agile Fleet Commander software.

Glisczinski stated that the software would cost $15,294 to install and then $9,000 per year maintenance fee.  According to Glisczinksi, Sibley County employee Dulci Schmidt is spending about 10 hours per week, or about $12,000 in wages, on the management of fleet cars.  He felt that adding the software for checking out fleet cars and keys would increase fleet car use over personal car use.  He stated that the county has five fleet cars plus two VA vans that would benefit from the software.  It would be easier for staff and volunteer drivers to pick up and drop off keys after hours when Dulci is not working.
