NOTICE
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that a hearing on the budget for the High Island Creek Watershed District for calendar year 2020 will be held on Monday, August 26, 2019, commencing at 7:00 p.m., at the Sibley County Service Center, 111 8th Street, Gaylord, Minnesota, 55334.
The budget is $190,000.00 and will be raised from an ad valorem tax levy.  The maximum ad valorem taxes that can be levied is .048 per cent of taxable market value or $250,000.00, whichever is less.  Of the amounts levied, approximately $18,000.00 will be used for manager mileage and per diem expense; approximately $37,000.00 for general legal and administrative expense; approximately $11,500.00 for insurance, bond premiums and other miscellaneous expense; approximately $12,000.00 for audit expense; approximate $20,000.00 for ditch inspecting fees; and the balance of approximately $91,500.00 for repairs and maintenance for district-wide benefit.

SPECIAL MEETING
Notice is hereby given that a special town meeting of the Arlington Township electors will be held on August 21, 2019, at 7:30 p.m. at the Arlington Community Center - chamber room for the following purpose:
To re-evaluate the 2020 proposed levy, due to the extreme weather conditions this past spring and summer that have damaged the township roads resulting in a much higher cost to road maintenance.
All interested parties are encouraged to attend, but only town electors are authorized to vote at the meeting.
