Samuel Thies, a 2015 graduate of the Sibley East Senior High School, graduated from South Dakota State University, Brookings, S.D., during recent commencement exercises.
Thies earned a Master of Science Degree in the Graduate School.

He is the son of Kevin and Kathleen Thies, rural Arlington.
