The Arlington City Council, during its regular meeting on Monday night, July 15, heard from residents upset over sewage in their basements during a recent storm.

Mike Scharping, who owns NAPA, reported that his business has had raw sewage come up in the basement for the third time in the last couple years. The flooding, he said, damages the inventory which is stored in his basement.

Scharping said he paid his assessment for the 2015 Street & Utility Improvement Project and the flooding “has gotten worse” since the completion of the project.
