The Green Isle City Council, during its regular meeting on Tuesday night, Sept. 10, voted 4-0 and adopted a resolution to approve the preliminary 2019 tax levy for collection in 2020.

The preliminary 2019 tax levy for collection in 2020 will increase from $588,163 to $617,144. This reflects a 4.9 percent increase.

The preliminary tax levy includes $392,471 in the general fund levy, $155,000 in the 2010 General Obligation Refunding Bond, $13,020 in the Fire Truck Fund and $56,653 in the 2010A General Obligation Refunding Additional.
