The Sibley County Board held its regular meeting in Gaylord on Tuesday morning, Aug. 13.

County Auditor Marilee Peterson presented the County Board with Gaylord’s proposed TIF district 6-2 (townhomes).  The TIF district is for the proposed Wolverine Meadows and Pond Meadows Addition.  According to the report from Northland Public Finance the estimated future market value of the project will be $4,023,160 with a proposed 15-year TIF district with captured tax increment financing of $1,203,869.

Peterson said Gaylord would have to satisfy income requirements with this TIF district and offer a certain number of apartments to those with incomes below the median county income.

County Commissioner Bill Pinske said the County does not have any input into the matter anyway.
