The Arlington City Council, during its regular meeting on Monday night, April 15, unanimously approved a motion to approve a request from Arlington Lions Club President Nancy Mathwig to authorize artist Lana Beck to paint a mural inside The Lions Center at Four Seasons Park. In addition to the motion, a metal Lions Center sign will be placed on the outside of the building.

The project will add some color to the interior without detracting from the overall brightness of the building.

Beck, who has painted two murals on the hallway walls at the Arlington Community Center, will utilize the north wall around the window and paint a mural that includes scenes from all four seasons of the year. The colors will be subtle with only a few brighter colors in the summer or winter scenes. Beck will complete the project in six hours during the week of May 20. The Arlington Lions Club will cover all of the costs.
